Featuring work by Denis Callet, an expert camera trap wildlife photographer. As a child in France, Denis explored caves and rock quarries in search of fossils and other geological wonders. When he emigrated to the United States, he was awestruck by the vastness of the country. He became involved in photography and his passion spilled over into education, conservation, and compassion for the mountain lions, bears, and other wildlife in the Los Angeles area. He says, "I want people to be aware of the animals around them. Not to fear them, but to respect and appreciate them. I want to inspire others and help them be aware of the fragility of nature and our responsibility as human beings to be better stewards to one another and to the natural world. Locally, I’ve built several trail-cams to observe nature and animals in their environment—with a conscious effort to minimize my impact on the animals. And I love helping other photographers set up trail-cams."
